A New Shelter is Coming Soon!
The Samaritan Inn is actively engaged in a capital campaign to build a new shelter to meet the ever-increasing needs of homeless families and individuals in our community. We broke ground on June 22, 2015 and we’d love for you to relive that day with us by viewing the photos at the bottom of this page. Bulldozers and the construction crew are on-site now!
This picture shows the complete design of the new Samaritan Inn Village. The complete project is not expected to be finished for nearly 10 years. Our Phase 1 focus is in getting the new shelter built, along with the pavilion, which includes the cafeteria, classrooms, living room, reception, and more!
The lobby of the pavilion will greet residents, volunteers, and donors. We envision this as a place where people can immediately feel compassion and security as they seek the assistance they need to get back on their feet.
The entry will greet people seeking assistance. As they walk through the doors, we hope they see the possibilities on how their life can change for the better!
Phase 1 includes one residential building that will immediately serve 50 families. The families living at our current facility will move over to the new building, and we’ll have room for about 25 additional families!
The engraved brick wall will show the overwhelming community support and kindness while serving as an inspiration to people who are facing a very difficult period. You can order a brick to commemorate, memorialize, or celebrate someone in your family. Learn more here
Naming Opportunity Available
Our capital campaign includes many exciting naming opportunities. You can honor a special person, organization, or company by naming a bedroom in their honor. Please contact Rick Crocker, Chief Executive Officer, for more information.
