Samaritan Inn-dustries presents.....           Greater Goodies

The Samaritan Inn, Collin County's only homeless shelter, has been examining the reasons for homelessness and found that a lack of job skills and training is often an underlying problem. In order to address this issue, Samaritan Inn-dustries was created. This innovative program will teach residents job skills while producing a marketable product.

Residents of the Samaritan Inn who participate in the program produce the chocolates and handle all aspects of the business including packaging, inventory, shipping, bookkeeping and marketing. When they have completed the program, they have new skills to take into the employment market as well as a letter of reference and recommendation.
