What difference can you make?

You've heard these stories and your heart goes out to these people, but you think, "What can I do about it?" or "Can I really make a difference?"

The answer is YES! You can make a huge difference by becoming involved with The Samaritan Inn.

There are many ways you can support The Samaritan Inn as an individual, family, group, or company.

DONOR PRIVACY STATEMENT
We will not sell or trade a donor's personal information to any other entity in existence unless we receive written permission from the donor, or
lacking that, provide donors with an easy and user-friendly way to opt out of having their information sold or traded.

What Your Donation Looks Like
Financial Contribution & Cash Donations for Multiple Needs

Your tax-deductible dollars help pay for program delivery costs, resident programs, and other forms of support. A financial contribution can be made in the form of a check, VISA™, MasterCard™, American Express™, PayPal™ or stocks.

We welcome contributions made on behalf of a family member, friend, neighbor or coworker.  If the person is deceased, you would select a contribution “In Memory Of” from the Donate Now page.  If the person is celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or a special achievement, you would select a contribution “In Honor Of” from the Donate Now page.  This is a special way to remember them or thank them for the support they give you, which in turn makes it possible for you to support others. We also make it easy for you to create and print your own personalized certificate to present to the recipient, or their loved ones.  The certificate template will appear during the checkout process on the Donate Now page.

All donations are tax-deductible and we are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 organization, identified as 75-1984285.

If you have any questions regarding donations or prefer to set up a monthly credit card donation via the phone, please contact Jim Malatich at (972) 632-1290, ext. 226 or email him at jmalatich@thesamaritaninn.org

Donated Goods

Donations of food and other items make a significant contribution to our resources. It makes us less reliant on cash gifts to cover the essential job of keeping residents well nourished while still being able to distribute additional food to others in need.

Clothing
Clothing helps restore dignity to the way people feel about themselves and helps to set them on a path towards self-reliance. Clean and new or gently used clothing is welcomed during the season in which it can be used. Donations of clothing should be taken to our INN Style Resale Store (formerly The Friends of The Inn Thrift Store) located at 103 East University Drive, McKinney, Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-2pm; look for the big Purple Building.

Household Goods
Household goods and furniture help families stretch their dollars while trying to settle into a newly acquired home. Keep in mind that furniture should be in usable condition since we are unable to repair or reupholster them. Donations of furniture and household goods should be taken to The Friends of The Inn Thrift Store located at 103 East University Drive, McKinney, Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-2pm; look for the Big Purple Building.

Stock and Real Estate

If you have stock you would like to transfer to The Samaritan Inn, please contact Lynne Sipiora at the number listed below.

The gift of real estate provides a substantial tax savings to the donor with an appraisal reflecting current market prices. Depending on the property, The Samaritan Inn could use it to expand their programs or liquidate the property and convert the proceeds to cash to fund the Inn's current programs and services.

If you wish to donate stock or real estate, please contact Lynne Sipiora at (972) 632-1290 ext. 229 or email lynnesipiora@thesamaritaninn.org.
